Prof. Marlowe E. Llorito joined some 17 accreditors from accross SUC in Mindanao to accredit programs in Surigao del Sur State University (SDSSU)- a very young 6 months old, the former Surigao del Sur Polytechnic State College (SSPSC) in Cantilan Campus, Surigao. During the course of the survey visit from August 23-27, 2010, Prof. Marlowe was assigned to accredit Programs in BS Computer Science and BS in Information Technology in Areas IV (Support to Students) & VIII (Physical Plant & Facilities). The rest was work, and work and work overtime. During the last stint of the visit, all findings were presented in an exit conferrence. Due to the distant Cantilan, the group then proceeded to Tandag Campus after the closing program for an overnight rest and to continue mobiling early the next day for the team travel way home to Davao city. Yes, Prof. Marlowe arrived home safely with trolly of dirty clothes, photo shots of the events, report drafts, some food and the Surigao specialty “angsuhan”- a shrimp paste. Marajaw Karajaw! (maayo kaayo!).

RS Marlowe E. Llorito joined other guardians on the latest rover orientation, vigil and investiture on July 16 & 17, 2010 of some 100+ vigilee from USMKCC and Alpha Phi Omega frat/sor at Camp Bulatukan, Makilala, Cotabato. The friday night was an experience of a heavy downpour which was the reason that the vigilee didn’t able to continue the trekking and other activities under the open air. That was the first experience in the Cotabato rover scouting. For partial picture download, please click here. Note: other pictures will be downloaded soon. Pasayloha!

Marlowe was privileged to attend a 2-day training/seminar at AJ Hi-time Hotel in Kidapawan City conducted by Manila Resource Development Corp. (MANRED) for SMARTMATIC in Consolidation Canvassing System (CCS) Technician to be assigned (hopefully) in Sultan Kudarat and to work in tandem with the COMELEC Board of Canvassers (BOC). The first day was a seminar on the functionality and features of the CCS otherwise known as the Real-time Electoral Information System (REIS), and the works of the technician before, during and after the election. Hands-on were given in the afternoon in which Marlowe got hold of the laptop and tested the CSS, and accessing functions with the use of security token. On the second day, a review was given in the morning and an examination was administered in the afternoon. Exams included were written test, oral interview and actual use of the CSS.
