Web Presence

Why is it that you or your institution needs a web presence?

Because, having a website of your own means entering into an invaluable communication environment. There are at least 5 reasons that I can name why is it highly advisable for your institution to be present online:

  1. A website can be your institutions virtual portrait showing its way to the world;
  2. A website can be your global tribune to share knowledge, experiences and enthusiasm with people who have common interests, but with whom you might not otherwise have crossed paths;
  3. A website can be a meeting place for making new acquaintances with people of different religion, nationality and age, as well as for keeping in touch with friends who may be on the other side of the world;
  4. A website can do works for you while you are sleeping or enjoying free time. You can simply have visitors click on certain information, services or links that are on your site content pages and they learn without your interaction, and;
  5. A website can make you a member of the biggest community of the world.

What are the types of a website?

You might see a bright background, a moving image, or a magically appearing text, but the bottom line is, people want a substantial webpage with information so rich that they can get it or interact with it right away. A static website (a site comprising several web pages) has the capability of viewing the contents only but not to interact with it.  A dynamic website on the other hand, has the capability of viewing it, interacting with it by either adding contents in it and leaving comments by the viewers. Content administrator can control restriction on the site page, hiding them when necessary and letting members to register to get private contents.
